STIR/SHAKEN

Lynk Telecom Communications has implemented the STIR/SHAKEN protocol and requires that its Customers submit its level of attestation for approval by Lynk Telecom. We are is currently passing STIR/SHAKEN token for any calls received with the information included in the header/invite.

STIR/SHAKEN is an industry-developed set of protocols and operational procedures designed to authenticate telephone calls and mitigate spoofing and illegal robocalling. Supported by the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”).

Below are the levels of Attestation we will support.

Attestation A / Full. Lynk Telecom Communications is responsible for the origination of the call and affirms that it has an authenticated relationship with Customer. As such, upon request, Customer certifies that it will identify its customer and has a verified association with the telephone number used for the call. Customer certifies that it will participate in traceback efforts, including those initiated by the USTelecom Traceback Group.

Attestation B / Partial. Lynk Telecom  is responsible for the origination of the call and affirms that it has an authenticated relationship with Customer. As such, upon request, Customer certifies that it will identify its customer, but has not established a verified association with the telephone number used for the call. Customer certifies that it will participate in traceback efforts, including those initiated by the USTelecom Traceback Group.

Attestation C / Gateway.  Lynk Telecom is the entry point of the call into its network but claims no relationship with the initiator of the call.

Transit Provider / Other. Lynk Telecom is a transit carrier and is the entry point of the call. Customer will pass the assigned STIR/SHAKEN toKEN for any, and all, calls received. Lynk Telecom will then further pass same STIR/SHAKEN toKEN for any, and all, calls received from Customer to the terminating (or other transit) provider. Customer certifies that it will participate in traceback efforts, including those initiated by the USTelecom Traceback Group.

Lynk Telecom may downgrade Customer attestation if Customer does not adhere to attestation requirements. Customer may request a change to its attestation, which is contingent upon Lynk Telecom approval.
